Zambia Volunteer Opportunities: Sept/October 2006 and May 2007

Volunteers are required to help with the teaching and management of the orphanage. Your presence alone provides motivation and excitement for the villagers and the children benefit from new teaching ideas and materials. It is an extremely rewarding experience for you too! A full information pack is available, but here are some brief details.

We are looking for volunteers to assist in one of the following;

• To teach the children at least three, if not five mornings a week. Previous teaching experience is required (voluntary or professional). It’s strongly recommended you take materials out with you.
• Agricultural and Land planning. To assist the Chilubula committee to manage the surrounding land. To advise how they can plan ahead to make self-sufficiency a reality.

Placements are offered in September/October 2006 and May 2007 (Please specify the dates that suit you best)

To apply you need to write to Charlie and Jo Kambuka by May 1^st for a September/October 2006 placement and by December 31st for a May 2007 placement. On receipt of your application you may be asked to meet Charlie, Jo and one other member of the committee in April/September.
